Hope your week has been going well. I thought today it might be fun to share with you a few new books I just added to my library. I could not be happier with all of these. Its a pretty well rounded collection that I choose this month. Interior styling, a dose of history and philosophy of the home and a guide to homesteading for a city dweller. These will keep me busy for a while.
Details by Lili Diallo is a must have on any home lovers shelf! She has done a beautiful job breaking down how to style your home properly. I love that she stresses that “details” in a room, make the room. The interior photography in this book will knock your socks off. So much inspiration!
The Decoration of House by Edith Wharton. The beginnings of Interior Design. A must read for any student of Interior Decoration.
Finally, The City Homesteader written by Scott Meyer. This one pulls at my heart strings. I grew up on a property that you could call an “urban farm” right outside of Los Angles. Since I moved from home, one of my biggest goals has been to be able to live off my property as much as possible. We can all be self sufficient in some manner. I love this book. Scott gives detailed instructions and many options on how you can be self sufficient on any size property. Even a balcony!
Hope you enjoy them as much as I have. You can grab all these great books on Amazon.
Have a great Thursday!
